My latest opt-in page converts at 67%. Here's why.
A video tour breaking down my lead magnet opt-in page.
K so first… Can someone please tell me why my immediate reaction to this 67% average over the first 6 weeks of my new opt-in page is BUT IT MUST BE BETTER…? I literally can’t stop. I want 100s. A+ forever, please.
So I guess I have some work to do still. But in the meantime, the logical and necessary acknowledgement is that 67% conversion rate is pretty dang good for the first iteration of a page. No edits here so far. And this is a trend for me—historically, my first versions do well.
Honestly, I launched this page without truly editing it myself. While I’d never be so flippant with client copy, I made this page live in record speed (the whole funnel actually), then sent it to a team member like “lol, have time to check if this is shit or actually okay?”
Thankfully, it was mostly okay.
S/o—you know who you are helping me make shit happen at JW HQ.
6 weeks later, this v1 is still going strong. And last week it actually clocked in at 100% conversions. Excuse me? I figured it was time to do a breakdown so you can see why my lead magnet opt-in page copy works. Maybe this will inspire some ideas for you to improve yours too.
In this post, I cover:
My lead magnet’s opt-in page week-by-week conversion rates over the last 6 weeks since it launched.
Each section I typically include in an opt-in page and why these are important to have—especially for cold traffic coming to this page.
A nearly line-by-line breakdown explaining my language choices, and why these are working in my favour.
A bit about VOC and where to work it into your copy.
How my opt-in page format is different from the style others may recommend, and why I’ve yet to listen to those recommendations.
And all of the above is in both video and text format so you can watch and listen or read the breakdown. Because we all learn differently, and I got you. 👏
